Gas Energy

A Waste To Energy (WTE) process creates electricity, heat and other consumer products (such as recyclable metals and vitrified glass) by using domestic garbage as fuel. The official term for the garbage used in waste to energy processes is Municipal Solid Waste (MSW).

Electricity generated from gas-fired power plants accounts for approximately 21% of the world’s total electricity generation. This electrical energy totals to about 1168 GWe. Europe has a total generation capacity of 804 GWe. 22% of this capacity is generated from gas power plants.
